Trade Plans For Round 6

Adelaide
L Thompson should be considered for fantasy teams if he is named to play again.

Brisbane
It is all about waiting for Mr Drummond, his price and his past stats make him someone to get when he plays. Cheapest of cheap fantasy ruckmen B McCauley could be about to move up in price, so bring him in if you want to find extra money and trade out a bench ruckman.

Carlton
The weight of expectations on Waite was weighty but wait before trading as a bye isn't far away. Trading for him now could work but he has Sydney, St Kilda and then a bye.

Collingwood
Getting close to their first bye, so fantasy coaches may want to wait until after it to trade for Magpies. That could give fantasy coaches plenty of time to work trades and free up spending money to then upgrade to Swan or Pendlebury.

Essendon
Hibberd is close to playing. In the next few weeks, those looking to trade out a bench defender or midfielder to get money may decide to bring in Hibberd.

Fremantle
They have a bye. Fantasy coaches may think about getting Sandilands, Duffield or Ibbotson in the near future.

Geelong
They get a week off with the bye. Fantasy coaches may want to make plans to buy Chapman in the future. Taylor might be a good player to think about getting, Podsiadly might be a riskier option for later in the season, and M Brown could be close to playing AFL.

Gold Coast
Ablett and Rischitelli are good options after round 9 which is their last bye.

Hawthorn
The Hawks also have a bye this round. Puopolo and I Smith played well in the VFL, so one of them could be playing in Hawthorn's next game and they are cheap fantasy players.

Melbourne
Gysberts is again a player to look at. Maybe he takes Scully's spot until he is ready to play and Gysberts could bring in solid stats and more than $120,000 in SuperCoach money.

North Melbourne
They could start playing cheap fantasy players like K Harper. Pedersen might be back for game number two. Things could become very unsettled there so fantasy coaches may want to wait and see what happens before trading for their players.

Port Adelaide
If the coach didn't know it at the start of the season he knows it now, they are in full rebuilding mode and are in a lot of trouble. For fantasy coaches that could be good news, maybe Butcher will be playing soon and Newton and Jacobs are healthier now and could become fantasy options later.

Richmond
For those who wanted J Riewoldt to prove himself before being traded for got what they needed, and can bring him in this round and buy him at the bottom of his price curve. B Miller probably isn't cheap enough to risk, he might stay in the team for a while but Richmond players should be told to ignore him and kick to Jack. Derickx might play soon.

St Kilda
S Fisher is worth his money, odd S Gilbert could be a bargain but he isn't playing at his best.

Sydney
The same ideas as last week, as they keep saying Kennelly is close to playing and maybe A Johnson could be someone to trade for.

West Coast
Over their first bye, some may decide to get Cox or Kennedy or Priddis now. Those with Darling will want to keep him for a bit longer so he makes more money.

Western Bulldogs
Gilbee is someone to look at, but last game he wasn't in his usual back line role which is a concern. Another concern was he decided to kick a shot at goal along the ground, often the wrong option for all players, but later in the game he sent one through for a goal and it sailed through the air for 60m or so, if you count where it landed. Those with Hall may want to try something else. Watch Wallis, a cheap midfielder who has played one game.
