Speaker in Jharkhand assembly CP Singh described the police crackdown in Ramlila ground as repetition of situation that prevailed in 1974-75. "The move of government is highly condemnable and embarrassing for a country that is considered world's largest democracy," he said. Singh said that in democracy everyone has the right to dissent and raise voice and when such voices are crushed it indicates to a dangerous trend setting in.
