Tourist Demands Relief From Pushy Phuket Timeshare Touts

Vacationing tourists in Karon beachfront demands relief from the plague of timeshare property touts. Peddlers are seen on motorcycles and pestering the tourists who are supposed to be enjoying their holiday.

Although, the law prohibits this kind of sell, it turns to be pretty useless as breakers of this law can just bail out and get back in their ways again. This is simply frustrating for municipal officers to patrol and arrests this people when they can simply pay a 500 baht fine. On the other hand, it is not good for Phuket tourism especially that the region derives much of its income from tourism.

Phuket is indeed a paradise to consider but with pushy peddlers of touts in the area, it can be an annoying place to find your self in. What the touts are offering to people are gifts and certificates in exchange for taking part in a timeshare survey and for every signature they get entitles the peddlers for a commission.

In times where the beaches are more crowded, touts have taken to walking along the shores but for now, these timeshare property touts have taken on two wheels.

Reason for Disapproval

The reason why the law greatly disapproved of sales program is because it is lack in principle as the motivation to purchase comes from a tout and not from the prospective buyers themselves. Moreover, it's a shame that while some timeshare companies are honest and professional about their timeshare sales, some are just ripping off customers and spoiling their fun time. Relief from this timeshare issue must be addressed immediately before it destroys the paradise imagery of Phuket and it's overall tourism industry.
