Here's a new adage: "Once you make it in Brooklyn, you can do Manhattan." Today we hear news that Bay Ridge's Ivy Bakery is opening a location in Soho this summer. The shop at 138 West Houston Street is still under construction, but tentatively Ivy Bakery Soho will open on July 1st. Owner Daniellan Louie wrote there will be a section dedicated to gluten-free baked goods. Plus Ivy Bakery Soho will get a wine license. Yay! Daniellan Louie is very creative as she has been organizing a cupcake eating contest in Bay Ridge for the past two years.
