Columbia Peak to Pub

Multi sport event. Ski/board 2km at Mt Hutt, MTB 19km down access road, run 11km to the Blue Pub. Great event to participate in or watch. (The World Famous) Peak to Pub Now in its 13th year, the Peak to Pub continues to attract record numbers from the NZ outdoor, multisport and skiing community. This fun and exhilarating triathalon style event starts high on the slopes of Mt Hutt Ski Area with a mass start run to skis or snowboard, followed by a giant slalom style race down to the base area through gates. After the ski leg, competitors launch into a heart stopping 19km bike ride down the Mt Hutt access road. Racers then transition to an 11km run to Methven to finish outside the iconic Blue Pub in the centre of Methven, for a well deserved drink! Last year Mt Hutt let New Zealand sports legend and past Peak to Pub winner Steve Gurney loose on the course design, to revoluitionise the race! Peak to Pub not only attracts top multisporters but also many enthusiastic amateurs seeking fun and personal triumph. Entry open to all. Come along and challenge your skills and have fun with our talented multi-sporters on the course, or join us at the finish line to cheer them home! Peak to Pub After-Party - Live Music Outdoors at the Blue Pub, celebrate an epic event! This event is part of the Methven - Mt Hutt Spring Fest: A week long festival where you can expect awesome spring skiing at Mt Hutt Ski Area and a huge line up of events on and off the mountain.
