Highlights
SMU-DE took giants steps in changing the paradigm of distance education and ensured that ‘ SMU-DE degree is a Kaam ki Degree’.
· To make sure our students benefit and are able to standout in the crowd we introduced ProDegree which have certification and diplomas as a part of the course.
· We recognized that working professionals in the BFSI are looking to become experts in the domain and we launched MBA in Banking and Finance, which is primarily delivered online with interactions from industry experts
· SMU-DE launched the National Vidyadeep case study contest, which culminated at EDGE, international forum for Higher education and the winners took home a prize money of 2 lac. Vidyadeep was instrumental in demonstrating the superior quality of SMU-DE students to top corporate and government bodies. Currently registrations for the second round of Vidyadeep is open on EduNxt.
· National Academic conference, a initiative to discover trends in education and nurture and hone the skills of the SMU-DE faculty.
· EduNxt was revamped to provide better interactivity between the students and faculty
· Distance education should not be constraint by the calendar and so we launched a new academic session in Winter especially for the working professionals .
The world stood up and took the notice and rated SMU-DE as the best distance learning. SMU-DE was awarded:
· Careers 360 magazine ranked SMU-DE #1 for results and efficiency
· SMU-DE received Dewang Mehta Business Schools Award for Best Distance Learning Programme
· Amar Ujala ranked SMU-DE programmes better than other universities
· SMU-DE held convocation across six cities in 2010 and at Raipur on 17th Jan 2011
