President Obama Pays Tribute To 9/11 Victims At Ground Zero

Obama Pays Respect At Ground Zero
The President of the United States made a stop in NYC to pay tribute to those who lost their lives during the terrible tragedy on 9/11.
He laid a wreath at the site of the World Trade Center, and at the foot of the Survivor Tree, which sustained damage during the attack but survived after being cleared of rubble.
Obama spoke to those who attended:
"This is a symbolic site of the extraordinary sacrifice that was made on that terrible day almost 10 years ago," Obama said, adding that bin Laden's death sent the message that "when we say we will never forget, we mean what we say."
"You're always going to have a president and an administration who has got your back."
"We did what we said we would do," Obama said. "We never forgot the tragedy. We have never forgotten the loss of life. We've never forgotten the courage of the NYPD."
He also visited a firehouse that lost 15 men that day. The highest number of one firehouse. He was joined by the brave who luckily survived.
The President visited in the wake of the successful operation that put an end to Osama Bin Laden — to pay his respects after such a long hunt, and a milestone achievement that has been a symbol of our effort to honor the lost by finding those responsible.
Everyone lost in the past decade will always, truly, be missed. Our hearts continually go out to those who have experienced the loss first hand.
