Information gathered by Peacefmonline.com indicates that there is confusion at the Ayawaso East constituency where the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP)is holding it parliamentary primaries.

According to reports, three gentlemen stormed the voting grounds at about 10:15am alleging that one of the aspirants, Ibrahim Issah owes them an amount of GH¢1700, after failing to make good his promise to secure them travelling visas. This resulted in some confusion which has led to the disruption of the voting process at the centre.

The aspirant, Ibrahim Issah, and the gentlemen are said to be at the Nima Police Station to find an amicable solution to the issue.

Meanwhile, reports say at the Asawase Constituency in the Ashanti region, voting has not started at 10:30am even though it was scheduled to start at 9am this morning.

According to our reporter at the venue, a lot of people who are believed not to be delegates have invaded the centre.

The police is said to be having some difficulties controlling the milling crowd.

In a related development, reports say there is heavy tension at the Ablekuma South Constituency voting centre in the Greater Accra Region, where delegates from the Korle-bu Ward of the party are being denied the right to exercise their franchise.

As at 11:30am, there was temporary hold-up at the centre.
