Reports said one of men had been very badly beaten and police said they believe the men may have been attacked elsewhere and their bodies dumped in Bradford.
They also confirmed the men were aged between 25 and 30.
A force spokesman said an inquiry is under way and a forensic examination of the scene is being carried out.
This morning, police cordons were in place at either end of New Lane. A police van and a police car guarded the entrance to the road.
The area where the bodies were found is open countryside close to the suburbs of south Bradford.

Detective Superintendent Dick Nuttall said officers were trying to establish the identities of the men and the circumstances leading to their discovery. He said: "We are also examining the possibility that these bodies were left on New Lane following an attack.
"I am particularly interested in hearing from anyone who was in the area of New Lane or Raikes Lane at the time or saw anything suspicious to come forward immediately.
"This is a rural and quiet area of Bradford and people may have noticed any unusual activity, especially at this time of night.
"At this stage we have not recovered any weapons; however, forensic officers are currently examining the scene."
The detective said officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team would be patrolling the area to offer reassurance and speak to residents about any concerns.
Any witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to contact the Incident Room on (01924) 334693.
