I (Nichelle) am in Atlanta visiting family, and my Dad bought some cupcakes from the grocery store Publix. At $3.99 for half-dozen, that's a great deal compared to $4 for one cupcake in a New York bakery. First, I assumed the cupcakes would be below par. However, I was pleasantly surprised since the cupcake was delicious and not too sweet. The frosting wasn't the best because I prefer buttercream. I would "Sandra Lee" the cupcakes by scrape off the frosting and add fresh fruit that is in season like lychee or mango.
