The 21-year-old actor recently finished shooting the final scenes of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’, the seventh and last of the films based on the eponymous boy wizard whom he has played for 10 years, and said his prop glasses were the only thing of sentimental value he wanted to keep.
He told fan website HPANA: “I've got two pairs of glasses. One from the seventh film, which were lensless.
“And also I have a pair with lenses from the first film which just seem like the tiniest little things now. So it's very sweet and they both have quite a place in my heart.
“That was the only thing I wanted. I didn't want the wand, I certainly didn't want the broom, and so those were the only things I had my heart set on."
‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ is split into two parts and Daniel has revealed the first instalment is different to the other films in the series because the well-known characters are taken out of their comfort zone.
He added: “You see these characters stripped of their comfortable, safe surroundings and suddenly just out in the wilderness together.”
The first part of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ will be released on November 19.
